Personal: Married, have 5 children all who have attended or are attending  Walled Lake Consolidated Schools. 

Education: Michigan State University, College of Nursing, BSN 

Political experience: Oakland County Commissioner since 2002; serve on  the Finance Committee ( 19 years), Oakland County Parks & Recreation  member (15 years), Oakland County Airport Committee (12 years),  Chairperson of General Government Committee (13 years). 

Profession: Registered Nurse; worked at University of Michigan Hospital  on the kidney/liver transplant unit, Small Business Owner; Long Family  Orchard, Farm, & Cider Mill in Commerce Township.
